What is the best/brightest tail light for a bicycle?
or one with alot of led's thats a very good light
The brightest is the Dinotte 400R, but it's also US$230. It's more than most people need most of the time. I might spring for one if I rode in dense fog, which I never do.
Also freakishly bright is the Magicshine Taillight, which is only $30 but that's only if you already have their $100 headlight. If you just want the tail light, you'll also need to buy a battery and charger. The charger is $10 but the battery is currently not available separately (supply issues -- wait a few months but expect to pay $50-$60 or more when it becomes available).
The Planet Bike Superflash is quite adequate and if you shop around, you can find it for as little as $20 but it's still a good deal at the more common $30 that you find it at most bike shops. It's far brighter than anything else I've seen in that price range.
The Radbot 1000 is about twice as bright as the Superflash, and also pretty nice. It's a bit more pricey though ($40-$50 IIRC). It also goes through batteries faster than the Superflash because it uses twice as much power.
